After facing hospitalization for an undisclosed health issue in March, Beckinsale responded to the negativity by posting a series of images and videos on Instagram where she dressed as an older man.
She intended this portrayal as a way to confront and satirize the online harassment she has received about her looks. In her posts, she expressed frustration over accusations of having undergone plastic surgery or using beauty enhancements like Botox, despite her efforts to prove otherwise, including statements from a plastic surgeon verifying her natural appearance.
She remained tight lip about her condition despite posting several photos of herself on Instagram throughout her hospitalization.
