Disney is in for a bit of a showdown as an investor named Nelson Peltz (Nicola Peltz-Beckham’s father) wants to be on the decision-making team. But, Disney isn’t too thrilled about it.
So, Peltz is planning to talk directly to the folks who own Disney shares to get their support.
The big shareholder meeting where decisions are made is happening in the spring.
Peltz tried talking to Disney’s boss, Bob Iger, this week. Disney was nice enough to invite Peltz’s team to chat with their decision-making group, but they don’t want Peltz himself to be part of that group.
In the middle of all this, Disney just added two new people to their decision-making team. It’s like a chess game where everyone is making strategic moves. One current decision-maker, Francis deSouza, is stepping aside to make room for the new folks.
