She was going on about how someone was trying to convince her that it is important for the child to feel like they were planned and that the parents believe in the sanctity of marriage and all that.

I got the impression that she was more concerned about her image than she is about getting married or being married to him.

She also said that he wanted a big wedding because it’s his first, but that she would just as soon elope.

The sanctity of marriage? Oh, boy!
