Diana Ross announces new residency in Las Vegas

Diana Ross will return to Las Vegas next year for a new series of residency dates at the Wynn Las Vegas’ Encore Theater.

The shows are scheduled for April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18.

The Motown legend has been celebrating her 75th birthday throughout 2019 with her yearlong “Diamond Diana” celebration, but the upcoming Las Vegas concerts will see Ross introducing an all-new show for 2020. – Source

Mariah Carey may have been voted the most successful artist of all time in 2019, but her ticket sales are saying otherwise, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

Carey, 49, is planning a Las Vegas residency titled “The Butterfly Returns” in February with eight dates listed.

But it seems the superstar singer is failing to sell out with nearly half of ticket sales still available for each show.

For the February 14 and 15 shows at Caesars Palace, which are weekends shows, over 1,200 tickets still remain.

And the weekday concerts are even worse. On Wednesday, February 19, a whopping 80 percent of tickets remain available.- Source

Update: AEG Presents announced today that Cher has extended her residency at Park Theater with six new show dates in February 2020. Tickets go on sale August 30. Cher will close out her 2019 shows on September 1.

There is only one Cher, of course, and she currently occupies a singular spot on the Strip entertainment landscape. She’s the only entertainer with a big-room show who also has deeper Las Vegas roots. The other acts playing Park Theater (Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Aerosmith) have just begun their Vegas residencies.
