This foreign born former A+ list singer is altering history again.

I love when singers who get songwriting credits then say what inspired the song when they know very well they just bought it from a writer and paid them enough to give up any credit or to mention to anyone they wrote it. Our former A+ list singer has a great big yarn about what inspired one of her hits.

I wouldn’t put it past her ex to talk about the real story.

Shania Twain – Canadian

“That Don’t Impress Me Much” inspired by nude Brad Pitt pictures

“Twain has finally revealed the true inspiration for her song – announcing to a New York audience that it was, in fact, Brad Pit’s naked body which left her cold.

“You want to know the truth about this story?” said Twain, now 51.

“I’ve never told this before. I’m going to say it now.

“I remember I had a girl friend visiting me and it was near Christmas and we were baking cookies.

“I was writing this album and there was a scandal of Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow where there were naked photos of him.

“And this was like all the rage.

“I just thought ‘I don’t know what all the fuss is about.’”
At the time, Pitt was 33 and Twain was 32.
His photos had been sold to Playgirl Magazine – the actor then sued to prevent further publication.

The Canadian singer has gone on to sell more than 90 million records worldwide, making her one of the most successful female solo artists in history.

But, she clarified, she was not disparaging the actor.

“I’m like, well that don’t impress me much, I mean what is all the fuss. We see people naked every day. That’s really what I thought.

“I wasn’t picking on Brad Pitt. But that was just the association in that moment and things we make fusses about and whatever.

“Of course, it could have been any gorgeous guy.”

She referenced the actor in the song, but had never before explained that it was his naked body that sparked the “that don’t impress me much” line.”
