Plenty of people love to hate Chrissy Teigen. So when news broke of Teigen having bullied Courtney Stodden years ago, that fueled the fire behind former fans aiming to cancel the model.
Now, retailers have stopped stocking Chrissy Teigen’s cookware… But does that mean she’s completely canceled?
Some Retailers Pulled Chrissy Teigen’s Cookware
As news outlets reported, multiple retailers have stopped stocking Chrissy Teigen’s cookware. It was previously available at both Macy’s and Target. But now, neither store is stocking Teigen’s product line. So of course, both fans and critics wonder why.
Did Chrissy Teigen’s cookware get pulled because of cancel culture? Maybe.
It’s true that Bloomingdale’s did pull out of a pre-planned collab with Chrissy recently. By all accounts, it sounds like the decision to cancel their collaboration was purely based on the drama with Teigen in the media.
But Macy’s, which shares a parent company with Bloomingdale’s, also quit stocking Teigen’s cookware recently. It seems like the outages are directly related to recent revelations about Chrissy’s bully past.
As for Target, that retailer ceased selling Chrissy Teigen-branded cookware last year. The retail giant said it was removing Chrissy’s cookware line to make room for its own brands. Target also said the decision was “mutual.” – Source
