Two of music’s biggest names started the week on a high note.

Katy Perry and The Weeknd dined together at Madeo in West Hollywood on Monday night. The new American Idol judge, 33, was photographed outside the eatery bundled up in a knee-length camel-colored coat with matching heels. She also slung her handbag across her body.

Arriving separately, The Weeknd — born Abel Tesfaye — sported a casual look in a denim jacket over a hoodle, dark pants and black boots.

“It wasn’t a date — they were with a group of people and they arrived and left separately,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE. “They dined on pasta, pizza and steak for three hours. They had intense conversations and everyone seemed to have a great time.” – Source
