You are an very established actor who has starred in many, many films and TV shows.

You are approached about a starring role on a TV show.

You’re asked to come in for an audition or an interview or do a guest appearance “to see if there’s a good fit.”

You know the job will pay at least $5 million per year to start (and will likely eventually climb to $15 or $20 million a year), so you shuffle your schedule around to accommodate the guest appearance (for which you are paid a small day rate).

You do well.

However… they’re still not sure.

So they ask you to come back again.

OK. ou do it.

Huh.

Still not totally sure.

So they ask you to come back again.

And again.

You do this eighteen times.

Then they offer the job to someone else.

[He] is FURIOUS!

He was told that he was their lead candidate – which is why he kept showing up – and they completely f*cked him over!

They told him that he should be grateful that they gave him such great exposure.

Exposure?!

He’s been working since he was a kid!

He’s done over fifty films and TV shows!!!

He’s a classy guy, though, so he will never complain about it in public.

Mr. Eighteen isn’t the only one who got played.

There are several others and they are angry about it, too!

Live with Kelly
Mr Eighteen: Jerry O’Connell
Others who got played: Fred Savage, Anderson Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, Andy Cohen
