Tracee Ellis Ross and Jennifer Lewis Reportedly at War on ‘Black-ish’ Set

*“Black-ish” stars Tracee Ellis Ross and Jennifer Lewis are reportedly at odds and often spar on set, according to a RadarOnline exclusive, which claims that at times, their war of words has even shut down production.

In 2014, Lewis began starring as Ruby Johnson in the ABC comedy series for which she received two Critics’ Choice Television Award nominations.

Since the second-season premiere, “Black-ish” has received many awards and nominations including a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for Ross, Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, and a TCA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy.

Now in its fifth season, one show insider claims the Lewis and Ross “can’t stand each other.”

“Tracee can’t stand Jennifer and vice versa, they’re like oil and water, they don’t mix well,” says the source. “They’re just like their characters – Jennifer wants to be the boss and Tracee isn’t having it.”

According to on-set insiders, the entire production shut down for about 30 minutes a few weeks ago because of the drama between the two actresses.

Source says there were some heated words exchanged between the two women after Lewis called out Ross for talking while she was trying to read her lines.- Source
