The Sage

If you go to her house, the first thing you smell when you walk in the door is the sage.

This permanent A list mostly movie actress who is an Oscar winner/nominee is always burning sage and talking about sage.

She always has a lot of interesting stories and some I have shared with you and some will have to wait.

The blind earlier today, made me think about one of her favorite stories.

Several decades ago she would have people to her home in Los Angeles and there would be people from the entertainment community as well as politicians out raising money here. There were rarely local politicians.

They would all gather in her living room after dinner and she would pass out “refreshments” which usually meant mushrooms.

If you attended her party, you had to imbibe.

It was and is still a rule.

So, one time, this straight laced Congressman who ran for President at least once tried some and made a rookie mistake in thinking they were not working, so took some more.

The guy was crazy.

He says crazy things still today, but he was really crazy.

Our actress wanted someone to try and “talk him down.”

What happened is that this one named permanent A list singer/actress orally serviced him and that seemed to do the trick.

The singer/actress got up and said, “Works every time.”
