James Charles just slammed Lauren Conrad’s makeup line

James Charles went on quite the Instagram rant after receiving a PR package containing Lauren Conrad’s new makeup line.

Former The Hills star Lauren, announced her new venture last week – a “clean” makeup and skincare range, which so far consists of a liquid highlighter, liquid eyeliner, lip gloss and lip and cheek tint.

This isn’t the first time James has gone on a rant about a celebrity makeup line. At the beginning of August he issued an apology to Alicia Keys after he tweeted, “I’m sick of people who have no business coming out with makeup brands, coming out with makeup brands.”

His tweet came after it was announced that Alicia was launching a skincare line with e.l.f Cosmetics, although he later apologised admitting he didn’t realise it was skincare, and not makeup.

However, clearly James is still not impressed with the launch of another celebrity makeup line after he posted an epic rant to his Instagram story

“So I’ve already been having a really weird day,” he began. “Maybe one day I’ll tell you guys about it, but honestly probably not because I probably can’t,” he continued.

“But I’ve just been sitting here thinking, ‘wow, can this actually get any weirder, or any worse?’ and it just did.”

James then shared that he received a PR package from a new brand. Although he didn’t name the brand, Reddit worked out that it was Lauren’s from the packaging and let’s just say that James unfairly went IN on her.

“I just opened a PR package from a new makeup brand from somebody who has no business having a makeup brand and I just wanted to show you guys some of these products, okay?”

“This is the liquid highlighter that I just opened up, notice anything weird about it? There’s no highlighter in there, nor is there a cap and it’s not even sealed. Like I actually just received this piece of plastic in a PR box.

“This is the eyeliner that I got, notice the tip is white? That’s because there is no ink in the actual eyeliner pen. Like stop making makeup brands.”

It turns out that Lauren’s products weren’t faulty at all and it was merely a packing error on Lauren’s part, as she had actually packed all the PR samples herself to make them extra personal.

On her social, Lauren admitted the error was her fault as she accidentally gave James the prototype package, but they have both spoken since and Lauren is sending him a new one.

Clearly James was also regretting his outburst as he later posted an apology to Instagram stories, apologising directly to Lauren.
