Last anyone heard about Lindsay Lohan, she was running a bar on a Greek island for a failed MTV reality show.

But her father Michael Lohan insists that she’s doing really, really good things in the Middle East — like helping Syrian refugees and not having an affair with the notorious Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Page Six reported.

It’s probably a good thing that Lohan, 33, is not having an affair with bin Salman, because, for one thing, he is married to his cousin and has four children.

A rumor that Lohan and bin Salman had become romantic spread this summer. Page Six reported that the once-promising “Mean Girls” star had become so close to the intensely wealthy Middle Eastern leader that he was jetting her around the world and had presented her with a “gift-wrapped” credit card.

But Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, has denied an affair, telling Page Six at an event Monday that his daughter and bin Salman are friends. Their unusual relationship is “platonic and respectful,” Michael Lohan explained.

Of course, being good friends with bin Salman is not considered to be a good thing in a growing number of circles.

Page Six describes bin Salman as “bloodthirsty” and the Guardian calls him “brutal.” Middle East experts have said that he imprisoned members of his own family and is leading his country’s war in Yemen, which has resulted in a humanitarian crisis, alleged war crimes and the deaths of thousands of civilians.
