Every year, for many years there has been a list posted. A top 10 list of the most famous celebrities who like a certain form of animation. Until his death, this permanent A+ list actor was always at the top. When he died, a number of celebrities tried to push their way to the top.
It was a chance thing. A coincidence. Are those two, the same thing? I think of chance being more magical than a coincidence. The magical does not necessarily have to be good however. Anyway, I had not seen this actor in about a decade at this point. Then, one Friday night we literally ran into each other in a Vegas hotel lobby. Hugs were exchanged and then he showed me that he is in massively better shape than me and proceeded to remind me of it for the next three hours. The smiles and hugs were genuine. We might not go looking for each other, but when we see each other we have that bond that can only be shared with a few other people from our past.
A few weeks ago I ran into the daughter of this permanent A+ lister. We talked about what was going on in her world and then I asked her for any old Golden Globe or Academy Award stories her father had told her that I could use. She had a few, but she said the one he talked about the most was one particular year. She says it was special to him because he was nominated. It had been a few years since the last time and even longer since the time before that.
Judging by how aggressive she is in going after this Academy Award winning/nominated late actor’s money after death that does not belong to her, his last few years must have been awful.
This B list mostly television actress who was on a network comedy this season spent the last two months of filming not speaking to the former A+ list mostly movie actor who was her co-star. Apparently he made a comment about her fake breasts which she insists are real.
This former A list mostly movie actor who has stayed A list for several decades has now mainly moved to television. The very straight actor showed up at the emergency room this week with "an object in his anus" that needed to be removed. That was probably an uncomfortable ride to the hospital.
