Dating Ben Affleck ‘scarred’ me, says Playboy model Shauna Sexton

Maybe Shauna Sexton has learned a powerful lesson about the hazards of dating an A-list movie star who is in the midst of a mid-life crisis.

A source has told Us Weekly that the 22-year-old Playboy model says she was “scarred” by the experience of her two-month fling with Ben Affleck — which started in August, shortly before his return to rehab, and ended in October.

Yes, Sexton caught the 46-year-old Oscar winner at an inopportune time.

Affleck was in the midst of a full-blown private and professional meltdown due to the fact that he: 1) Was finalizing his divorce from his America’s sweetheart wife, Jennifer Garner, the mother of his three children; 2) Had just broken up with his “Saturday Night Live” girlfriend Lindsay Shookus, whom he reportedly began dating while still married to Garner; and 3) Was spiraling out of control with his long-term addiction to alcohol.

Oh, and Warner Bros. was deciding to not to move forward with Affleck starring in the next Batman movie, Variety reported in October. The studio opted to rethink its approach to future movies based on DC Comics characters and to seek a different — and perhaps younger? — actor to play the Dark Knight.

Sexton found that Affleck’s moods were “always up and down,” the insider told Us Weekly. The actor apparently didn’t know what he wanted to do with himself on a day-to-day basis.

“Sometimes he (wanted) to go out, drink and get girls, and other times (he was) completely sober and going to church,” the source told Us Weekly.

Sometimes, Affleck also wanted to enjoy a pricey meal at Nobu in Malibu, and sometimes he was in the mood for Jack in the Box. From tabloid photos, it appears that Sexton tried to accommodate his different moods — as well as food cravings — before and during his time in rehab. – Source
