This former A+ list singer who has stabbed a lot of people in the back and in the front not only publicly called out the permanent A list “singer” not all that long ago, but also turned over notes of her private conversations with the singer to those people who could use it against the singer.
Christina Aguilera Said She and Britney Spears Were Once Caught in a Love Triangle
Before Christina Aguilera was the iconic singer she is today, she was a cast member on The Mickey Mouse Club in the 1990s with later-famous co-stars like Keri Russell and Ryan Gosling. But the “Beautiful” singer said that there was some added drama with two of her co-stars, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.
On The Late Late Show’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment last night (April 23), host James Corden asked Aguilera if she had a crush on Gosling when she was a cast member on the show. “There were definitely crushes, but…I wasn’t on the train,” the singer said.
“What train were you on?” the host asked. “Were you on the Timberlake train?” Aguilera laughed and stammered before finally admitting that she may have had a crush on the “Cry Me a River” singer.
“He had swag, I have to say,” she said. “Even back then, he had swag.”
But while answering the question, the singer revealed that she and Spears may have found themselves in the middle of a love triangle with Timberlake. “There was a me and Britney — well now, you know — there was a thing back then,” she said, before turning to the host and saying “Oh, my god, you’re going in!”
Of course, Spears later went on to date Timberlake from 1999 to 2002 before the two ended their relationship amidst rumors of Spears’ infidelity. But Aguilera added that everything could have been different, because another cast member had his eye on Britney.
“I know Ryan (Gosling) pretty much…he did have a crush on Britney,” she said. “She must be regretting that,” Corden said, before Aguilera reminded him that Spears ended up with Timberlake. “Oh yeah, you’re right, that worked out wonderfully for everybody,” the host sarcastically added. – Source
