Apparently the permanent A++ list celebrity thinks throwing a name on a documentary is going to somehow makeup for the multiple decades she was friends with the guy while he was doing all these things to women.

She knew it was going on just like she knew about the disgraced producer and so many more.

Russell Simmons accuser is the subject of Apple TV+ and Oprah Winfrey’s Sundance doc

Yesterday, AppleTV+ announced the acquisition of a documentary about a former music executive’s #MeToo journey.

Executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and directed by Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering, the logline simply notes the film follows “a brilliant former music executive who grapples with whether to go public with her story of assault and abuse by a notable figure in the music industry. The film is a profound examination of race, gender, class and intersectionality, and the toll assaults take on their victims and society at large.”

Today it was announced that the documentary will debut at the Sundance Film Festival early next year, and while the official Sundance description is the same as Apple’s logline, the identity of the “former music executive” was confirmed.

The film’s primary subject is Drew Dixon, who alleged multiple instances of misconduct initiated by Russell Simmons in a bombshell interview with the New York Times. The Def Jam Recordings co-founder served as Dixon’s direct supervisor during her executive run at the label. She quit Def Jam shortly after Simmons allegedly raped her in his apartment in 1995. – Source

Seal Accuses Oprah of Knowing About Harvey Weinstein’s Sexual Misconduct

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Seal accused Oprah Winfrey of knowing about Harvey Weinstein’s predatory behavior towards young women “for decades” and doing nothing about it.

“Oh I forgot, that’s right…..you’d heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into. My bad,” the singer said in the post, which accompanied a meme of Winfrey and Weinstein. “When you have been part of the problem for decades, but suddenly they all think you are the solution,” the meme says, over photos of the two at events, one with Winfrey kissing Weinstein’s cheek.

He concluded with the hashtag “#SanctimoniousHollywood.”

When the allegations of Weinstein’s history of sexual abuse and harassment came to light in late 2017, Winfrey posted on her Facebook, saying, “I’ve been processing the accounts of Harvey Weinstein’s hideous behavior and haven’t been able to find the words to articulate the magnitude of the situation.”- Source
