Alec Baldwin facing Gloria Allred lawsuit from Halyna Hutchins family over ‘Rust’ shooting

Alec Baldwin is facing another lawsuit over the shooting on the set of his film “Rust.” This one was filed by attorney Gloria Allred on behalf of the parents and sister of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed in the accidental gunfire.

“Halyna was the light in their lives,” Allred said Thursday at a press conference. “But now, in addition to this tragedy, they have to try to cope with that loss while living in Ukraine in the midst of Putin’s war.”

In addition to Baldwin, the suit names armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, prop master Sarah Zachry and reported ammunition provider Seth Kenney.

The announcement comes more than a week after the 64-year-old Baldwin was formally charged alongside Gutierrez-Reed in connection with Hutchins’ death. They both face two counts of involuntary manslaughter, while first assistant director David Halls has agreed to plead guilty to a charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon.

Zachry and Kenney were not criminally charged. Kenney did not provide the bullet that killed Hutchins, according to investigators. – Source
