Emma Watson says she’s ‘very happy’ being single, but she calls it ‘self-partnered’

Emma Watson is putting a new spin on the term “single.”

In a December cover interview with British Vogue, the actress, 29, talked about the anxieties of turning 30.

“I never believed the whole ‘I’m happy single’ spiel,” she said. “I was like, ‘This is totally spiel.’ It took me a long time, but I’m very happy (being single). I call it being self-partnered.”

She also said she never understood the “fuss” around turning 30 until her birthday neared. Watson turns 30 on April 15.

“I was like, ‘Why does everyone make such a big fuss about turning 30? This is not a big deal…’” she said. “Cut to 29, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I feel so stressed and anxious.’ “- Source
