Lady Gaga Reportedly Eyed To Play The MCU’s Emma Frost
If she ever decides to give up her day job, then the silver screen is clearly the direction to go, but so far Gaga seems to once again be placing the focus on her musical career. However, once you get bitten by the acting bug it never seems to go away, and we’ve now heard from our sources – the same ones who told us Taskmaster would be the main villain in Black Widow and a She-Hulk show is in development, both of which were correct – that Marvel Studios are trying to tempt her back in front of the camera as Emma Frost.
While the idea of Lady Gaga in the MCU sounds like it could be a bit distracting, she’s certainly proven herself as an actress and would be a much better fit for the character than January Jones, who was admittedly reduced to little more than eye candy in First Class. – Source
LADY GAGA DISCUSSES HER STRUGGLE WITH DRUG USE
According to Lady Gaga, for a time, she had been living on another plane of thought, entirely. Following her hip injury in 2012 and subsequent surgery (resulting from an incident during her Born This Way tour), the singer consumed large doses of medication to cope with her pain. At the same time, Gaga admits to smoking an estimated 15 to 20 joints (marijuana cigarettes) each day to ease the tension of everyday life. Although she had convinced herself she was self-medicating her hip pain, at one point, she had lost track of why she was taking these drugs to begin with. Life seemed to blur.
Living under the Guise of Fame
Back in 2012, Gaga announced that she was working hard to reach a peaceful place in her mind, where she didn’t need drugs to fuel her creative process. Overall, she admitted that she needs to be high to produce her work, an issue that has followed her for about 10 years. As to whether she can continue her incredible career without painkillers or pot, Gaga feels confident that she had to fight hard to continue making music without dangerous substances. – Source
Lady Gaga told Oprah she takes an antipsychotic, and without it she would ‘spiral very frequently’
Lady Gaga appeared on Oprah’s “2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus” tour Saturday, when she discussed her battle with fibromyalgia and post-traumatic stress disorder after multiple sexual assaults.
The award-winning singer and actress said taking an antipsychotic medication “helped me tremendously” and that she would “spiral very frequently” without it.
Antipsychotic medications are commonly used to treat bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, but can also be used to treat fibromyalgia, which is characterized by widespread pain, fatigue, and cognitive difficulties that can be caused by trauma and stress. – Source
