One person who has been a frequent caller to the hospital room of the rapist producer is the former actress turned escort who keeps reminding him she would be great in any project he finds.
Lindsay Lohan says women speaking out about their #MeToo experiences ‘makes them look weak’- August 2018
JUST WHEN YOU think you’ve heard enough bad takes on the #MeToo movement to last you a lifetime, another one comes steaming down the tracks. This time Lindsay Lohan has been speaking about the movement and has had some choice words to say about the whole thing.
Speaking to The Times while promoting her new show Sick Note Lohan said that women are making themselves ‘look weak’ by speaking out.
If it happens at that moment, you discuss it at that moment. You make it a real thing by making it a police report. I’m going to really hate myself for saying this, but I think by women speaking against all these things, it makes them look weak when they are very strong women.”
I mean there’s a number of things to unpack here. Never mind the fact that victims of sexual assault and harassment aren’t believed a lot of the time when they do report it. You also have the issue of the risk posed to the victim if they do report such as damage to their careers or the simple trauma of reporting at all.
Lohan then proceeded to keep digging the hole she found herself in.
I can’t speak on something I didn’t live, right? Look, I am very supportive of women. Everyone goes through their own experiences in their own ways.”
You have these girls who come out, who don’t even know who they are, who do it for the attention. That is taking away from the fact that it happened.” – Source
