Wendy Williams’ guardian has filed an amended complaint against Lifetime and its parent company A&E Network, claiming that the docuseries Where Is Wendy Williams? was produced without a valid contract and while Williams was too incapacitated to consent.
The lawsuit alleges that the series exploited Williams, who suffers from primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, for profit, earning millions while paying her only $82,000.
The guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, is demanding that all profits from the series be redirected to Williams for her ongoing medical care.
The case, highlighting the alleged exploitation, continues to unfold in New York State Supreme Court.
