Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s divorce is reportedly not about cheating rumors

Affair allegations between Jay Cutler and one of Kristin Cavallari’s pals may have led to the demise of the ladies’ friendship, but it reportedly was not the catalyst for the couple’s decision to divorce.

“Kristin and Jay had been having problems for a long time. They hadn’t spent much time together in recent months … Kristin and Jay are a lot different,” a source told People, noting the breakup had “absolutely nothing to do” with the speculation of infidelity.

During the Season 3 premiere of “Very Cavallari” earlier this year, Cavallari said she had not spoken to friend Kelly Henderson in months following rumors about her involvement with Cutler.

On Sunday, Cavallari, 33, and Cutler, 36, announced their divorce after seven years of marriage, posting a joint statement to their respective Instagram pages. The Uncommon James jewelry brand founder, who married Cutler in 2013, has already scrubbed “wife” from her bio.

“With great sadness after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,” their statement read. “We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of.
