As Céline Dion updated her fans about her Las Vegas residency, citing health as the reason why she needs to postpone it, fans and her own children felt worried. Is Celine Dion okay?
From November to February, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer was scheduled to do a Las Vegas residency at The Theatre, Resorts World. However, she must now postpone the residence, which “devastates her beyond description.”
The uncommon talent of Dion has already attracted followers from around the globe, and many were looking forward to seeing the icon perform in Nevada this winter.
However, things did not proceed as planned, as Dion announced that she must postpone the tour due to health concerns.
A press notice released on Instagram described the “unexpected medical issues” that compelled the singer to postpone the opening and cancel the scheduled performances.
Dion has been suffering from severe and continuous muscle spasms that prevent her from performing, the paper added.
Apart from being sick though, the true diagnosis of which is unclear, Dion is feeling quite heartbroken because of what she had to give up on. Dion told fans via her Instagram caption that she was “evastated” by the postponement: “I’m heartbroken by this. My team and I have been working on our new show for the past eight months, and to not be able to open this November saddens me beyond words.”
She added that her partners at Resorts World Las Vegas and AEG have been working around the clock to complete this brand-new, state-of-the-art theater, which is just stunning. She feels terrible that she has let them down, and she’s especially sorry to all the fans who have been making preparations to travel to Las Vegas. She said she’s committing to getting better. – Source
