This problematic studio head most of you know if you have been reading the site long enough, thought he could win a battle with this A list mostly movie actor.

He thought so until somehow the actor produced a bunch of recordings from over the years which highlight the bad things the executive did with underage girls as he was moving up the ranks.

Ray Fisher Takes a Shot at Warner Bros. Boss Following The Batman’s Release

Following the release of The Batman and ahead of WarnerMedia’s merger with Discovery Communications, Justice League actor Ray Fisher takes a shot at Warner Bros. Picture Group President and Chief Content Officer Toby Emmerich.

“Toby Emmerich and Walter Hamada must really be scared of this [Discovery] merger,” Fisher wrote on Twitter, sharing screenshots of articles crediting Emmerich and DC Films President Walter Hamada for the studio’s success. “These public credit grabs and puff pieces about why they shouldn’t be fired are laughable. If Toby wants to talk about directors, he should talk about his hiring and protecting of Joss Whedon.”

WarnerMedia’s merger with Discovery was announced in 2021 and will be finalized sometime in 2022, with the new media company existing under the name Warner Bros. Discovery. Fisher’s comment comes following the theatrical release of The Batman and a recent statement from Emmerich, who explained the “secret” to the studio’s success is the filmmaker behind a project.

“The secret of the movie business is quality. It’s the best business strategy for both theatrical motion pictures and superhero movies,” Emmerich said. “The movies don’t have to all have the same tone, or interlock with other DC movies, or have an Easter egg that sets up another film. Quality is the most important factor for a studio, and the biggest thing you can do to influence quality is the filmmaker that you hire.”

Fisher portrayed Victor Stone/Cyborg in 2017’s Justice League. His ongoing dispute with Warner Bros. was made public in 2020 following allegations of misconduct and abuse from Justice League director Joss Whedon. Fisher’s claims also alleged that Whedon’s behavior towards the cast and crew was enabled by Emmerich, Hamada and other executives at WarnerMedia. Since coming forward, Fisher has been vocal about his experiences while working with the company, and this isn’t the first time he’s called out these figures by name.

“Walter Hamada, Toby Emmerich, [producer] Geoff Johns and Warner believe everything will blow over if they just ignore it hard enough,” Fisher said in July 2021. “It won’t. They played, and lost, a very dangerous game. I’ve been encouraged by every industry professional to stay the course. And I shall.”

Fisher has also alleged that Hamada actively discouraged a third-party investigation of abuse on Whedon’s Justice League set, calling the DC Films President “the most dangerous kind of enabler.” WarnerMedia released a statement in Jan. 2021 defending Hamada and disputing Fisher’s claims. Whedon also denied abuse allegations against him, though his behavior has been criticized by cast and crew across more than one production, including Justice League, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly. – Source
