Aaron Schock slammed for Instagram photo among shirtless group ‘quarantining’ in sunny Mexico resort

Disgraced GOP lawmaker Aaron Schock is, once again, being slammed for his post-public service life.

The latest controversy comes after the former anti-LGBTQ politician — and current out-and-proud gay man — posed for a photo which appears to show him among a group of friends partying in Mexico during quarantine days.

On Monday, the ex-congressman was tagged in a photo shared by the event planner, Mauricio Kirschner, showing Schock among a group of six tanned, shirtless wide-smiled friends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The caption by Kirschner, the founder of the House of Kirschner, “an atelier that creates ephemeral experiences for events” simply read ““BE MY QUARENTINE [sic].”

While it’s impossible to determine the exact day the festive six-person-hug took place, the photo — which was liked by Schock on Instagram — implies that the group decided to use the time of the global coronavirus pandemic to shelter in place at a resort in Mexico.

The photograph didn’t sit well with social media users, who were quick to point out that the perfectly lit crew had a different idea about the accepted measures to contain the spread of the new coronavirus.

“This group of Instagays ‘quarantining’ at a resort in Mexico – WITH Aaron Schock – seem to have a very different definition of “social distancing” than the rest of us!,” Buzzfeed’s Sam Stryker tweeted. – Source
