RHOBH Fans Have Questions About Kyle Richards’ Chanel Bag

It has been five years since Kyle Richards’ house was robbed. In December 2017, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star’s Encino mansion was burglarized while her family was staying at their vacation home in Aspen.

According to TMZ, thieves took more than $1 million in handbags and jewelry as well as an expensive watch collection owned by Richards’ husband Mauricio Umansky, including a watch that was given to Umansky by his late grandfather, and Richards’ gold wedding band with the inscription, “Mauricio forever” inscribed on it.

“They took everything — all of my bags, as well as bags and jewelry that my mom left me,” Richards later told Vogue.

But Reddit-using Real Housewives fans don’t miss a trick, and some questioned a recent RHOBH scene that showed Richards with a designer bag she carried during a cast trip that took place years before the robbery.

In a September 2022 thread on Reddit, a screen grab from a RHOBH season 12 episode showed Richards carrying a sequin Chanel bag to Dorit Kemsley’s Homeless Not toothless charity event. A second snap showed the Bravo star with the same bag during a cast trip to Amsterdam in 2015.

“Kyle Richards purse. Same bag??” one Redditor asked. “Sequin Chanel from Amsterdam is seen once again at Homeless Not Toothless event… was she being truthful about the burglary?”

Other commenters responded with possible explanations.

“They make more than one of the Same bag…could have purchased it again…” one Redditor wrote.

“I remember her saying that she’s rebuilding her bag collections so I can imagine her buying the same bags,” another agreed.

“It could also be a rep. You can get reps of classic Chanel bags that are not made anymore,” another wrote.

“Wasn’t she traveling at the time of the burglary? That bag could’ve been packed and not at the house,” another suggested. – Source

Dorit Kemsley Responds to Conspiracy Theory PK Orchestrated Robbery as Insurance Scam

A lot of viewers wondered why the thieves left her cell phone behind.

Dorit Kemsley’s terrifying robbery was a topic of conversation during Part 1 of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion — where she responded to some fans theorizing the whole ordeal was nothing more than an “insurance scam” orchestrated by her own husband, PK.

First, she revisiting how, in October 2021, she was held at gunpoint and robbed of nearly $1 million in valuables while PK was in London. Surveillance cameras caught the suspects on video and her own kids were home and asleep in their beds when it all went down. During the incident, she pleaded with them to not take her phone — with one of the men agreeing to leave it outside by her front gate.

Addressing “naysayers” who asked “who leaves a cell phone near the gate so you can call the cops?”, reunion host Andy Cohen asked Dorit about theories PK set the whole thing up.

“Andy, I’m struggling to get out of bed in the morning. I’m certainly not paying attention to this,” she said, as she called the talk “disgusting.

“This isn’t something that you can orchestrate,” she continued. “I know what I’ve been through and I was very lucky. Very, very lucky. There’s not a single day that goes by that I don’t remind myself of that.”

Cohen then asked why Dorit believes they agreed to leave the phone behind.

“I was very very calm, I showed them where everything was and I said, ‘Please, please, I beg of you, I need to call my husband, please leave my phone,'” she responded. “And he said, ‘I’ll leave it at the gate’ and he did.” – Source

RHOBH Fans Claim Teddi Mellencamp’s Husband Orchestrated Kyle Richards’ Home Burglary

When the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills went on their RV trip this season, it was hard to ignore the plug for Skyline Security and Smart Home Management. Teddi Mellencamp’s husband, Edwin Arroyave owns the security company, and their vacation vehicle was wrapped in advertising for the business. However, instead of the ad bringing in new customers, it sparked fan curiosity about Kyle Richards’ home burglary .

RHOBH fans never forget. And, after Bravo allowed Arroyave and Mellencamp to promote the business, fans started talking on social media about the robbery that took place during the airing of the Season 8 reunion at the Encino home Richards shares with her husband, Mauricio Umansky.

They hired Arroyave’s company to install a security system, but while they were on vacation in Aspen, Colorado, thieves grabbed more than $1 million in jewelry and handbags. Richards told People Magazine in January 2018 that there was an error during installation that kept the security system from working properly.

Richards said that the alarms in her home were not armed when the robbery occurred because of a missing panel, and this made the app Richards and Umansky used to activate the system useless. The outlet explained that a motion sensor alerted the couple to the break-in, and then they found a broken window on the property which was probably how the burglar got inside the home.

“I said, ‘It must be something faulty with the app,” said Richards. “We’ve got very tall gates on the house, a state-of-the-art home security system, and my housekeeper was sleeping there at the time. I thought. ‘I don’t believe that, that’s not possible.’” – Source
