X Factor fans blasted Simon Cowell for coughing over the top of Nicole Scherzinger’s feedback.

The former Pussycat Doll was talking to act Lloyd Macey after his performance of Coldplay’s Fix You when Simon started repeatedly pretending to cough over the top of Nicole.

Nicole had compared herself to Lloyd, telling him that she too is a “vocalist”, and some viewers felt like Simon was throwing shade at her by going against what she’d said.
