Elon Musk says Tesla has gone from ‘production hell’ to ‘delivery logistics hell’

Tesla’s efforts to ramp up production of its Model 3 electric sedan have gone from “production hell” to “delivery logistics hell”, according to its chief executive Elon Musk.

The electric car maker has been battling to increase production of its “affordable” $35,000 Model 3 to meet demands for orders.

Having met initial targets of 5,000 models per week, Tesla is now faced with the logistics challenge of shipping cars to customers.

“Sorry, we’ve gone from production hell to delivery logistics hell,” Musk tweeted in response to a customer who said her Model 3 had been left in a train depot in Salt Lake City among 42 other Tesla cars left there undelivered.

“This problem is far more tractable,” Musk added. “We’re making rapid progress. Should be solved shortly.” – Source
