This permanent A list singer received a special honor yesterday.
To ensure she wouldn’t be late, she was advised the starting time was two hours earlier than the actual time. The thing is though, she decided to take it upon herself to be on time because she knew it was a big deal so ended up being two hours early and paid $2000 to use a suite at a hotel for two hours to wait it out.
Mariah Carey’s Handprint Ceremony Was as Glamorous as Expected
Mariah Carey has given the world a string of successful albums, iconic diva moments, and arguably the world’s greatest Christmas song of all time—and now she’s being immortalized for it. Carey gave her hand and foot imprints on Wednesday at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, and in true Carey style, it was as over-the-top as expected.
While many may not want to dunk their finest shoes into inches of wet cement, the 47-year-old singer chose a pair of $900 Louboutin heels to dip, assisted by three men and posing with one hand on her hip while doing so. She chose a low-cut black dress and fishnets for the ceremony, as well as diamonds that weighed down her ears. Her boyfriend, 34-year-old backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka, sat front row, taking pictures on his iPhone. Carey’s friend and longtime collaborator, Lee Daniels, gave a speech (and also snapped his own photos of her). – Source
