Let the #MeToo backlash begin!
What B/B+ mostly movie actress from an acting family was just canned from a pilot that was picked up to series by a major broadcast network?
The producers used her name and revitalized recognition after coming forward with her story about the disgraced Hollywood producer. When the network picked up the pilot to series, the producers dumped her — at the request of the network.
This is not going to turn out well for the producers or network.

Mira Sorvino and Dave Annable Exit CBS’ ‘The Code’ After Pilot
Mira Sorvino and Dave Annable won’t be back with new weekly TV gigs after all. The actors had been eyeing a broadcast comeback vehicle with CBS pilot The Code, but the military drama, ordered to series on Friday, will now move forward without the pair of leads.
Sorvino is again in the public eye as one of the most outspoken against Harvey Weinstein in the wave of harassment and abuse claims levied against the producer this past year. She has enjoyed a healthy TV career in recent years, but the Oscar winner is famously one of the actresses said to have been blacklisted in film by Weinstein in the late 1990s. Sorvino recently appeared on Condor, Lady Dynamite, Falling Skies and a three-episode stint on Modern Family.
