Ben Affleck was given a chance to get closer to girlfriend Lindsay Shookus’ “Saturday Night Live” family at the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards as the couple showed up together at the award-giving event. But much to Ben’s disappointment, her friends were reportedly unimpressed with him, or precisely his sense of humor.

“They are a tight bunch and it takes a long time for them to welcome a new person in,” a source revealed to Radar Online. “They have all known each other for years and admire talent and comedic skills above fame.”

The Batman depicter reportedly was trying hard to win over Lindsay’s inner circle. However, the source said that while Ben was famous, he was deemed “not funny.”
