Britney Spears Opens Up About Being ‘Lonely’ & Not Having Many Friends to Trust

Britney Spears is getting real about the downfall fame can bring, including not being able to trust those around her.

The hitmaker, who’s currently enthralled in a battle over her conservatorship, revealed she doesn’t have a large amount of people she trusts and she’s “lonely at times.”

Taking to social media to air out her deepest thoughts, Spears posted a picture of a quote from a website called HappyLife.com, which stated this warning: “Pay close attention to the people who don’t clap when you win.”

Then she added her own very-telling words.

“Living in LA is such a trip!” Spears began her post, adding, “It can be lonely at times.”

The singer revealed that with fame, “You never know who to trust, and some people can be fake.”

Despite having a team around her constantly, she told her fans, “I have a very small circle of friends, and simply do what makes me happy.”

It appears Spears may be talking about social media trolls, because she explains, “It breaks my heart to see the comments on my posts sometimes …. so I simply choose not to look anymore.” – Source
