ICYMI: Wendy Williams Actually CRIED For R. Kelly Amid Sexual Abuse Scandal — Because ‘He Can’t Read’!!!

Wendy Williams is known to throw out a hot take or two, but come on!

Women are speaking out left and right against R. Kelly, giving their accounts of his sexual abuse of women. In case you haven’t heard the many stories, the Ignition singer allegedly preys on young girls, grooming them into sex slaves.

What defense could Wendy possibly have for this behavior??

Well, not defense, really — more deflection. See, she’s apparently less upset at R. Kelly and more at everyone else in this scenario.

She told her audience on Monday afternoon:

“I know things about R. Kelly that I will take to my grave – unless he tells them… but I will tell you this as a cautionary tale: parents, you need to watch who you let loose your girls around.”

If this seems a little like blaming the parents, wait until she calls them “desperate” to make them stars:

“If you’re so desperate that you want your kids to be stars and you’re going to unleash your daughters to the world, you better watch what you get.”

Hmm.

She also tried to drum up sympathy for the alleged predator by confirming the rumor that Kelly was illiterate!

“And also, Robert, it’s long been said and he actually did admit this to me, I was shocked he was actually admitting this – because he can’t read, he can’t write, and he can’t add… He admitted this to me, and I won’t tell you what he said about how he maneuvers through the world.”
