This permanent A list rapper knows there are multiple women who are about to expose him for the hundreds of times he has cheated on his wife, so is hoping his admission of a few women will cover for the hundreds.

Nice try.

Jay-Z Admits That He Cheated on Beyoncé

Jay-Z finally admitted that rumors of his infidelity were true. After making a series of thinly veiled apologies to wife Beyoncé on his most recent album (which came out after the queen of pop’s beloved album Lemonade, which took on empowerment and revenge), the music mogul finally spelled it out in an interview with New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet posted on Wednesday. It was the first time that Jay-Z explicitly said he had been unfaithful. We also learned that there might have been a joint Beyoncé and Jay-Z record had Lemonade not been farther along.

“You have to survive. So you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what happens? You shut down all emotions,” Jay-Z told Baquet, citing a difficult childhood that resulted in a tendency to isolate himself. “So even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can’t connect . . . . In my case, like, it’s deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity.” Asked about how their separate projects processed the tumult of their marriage in recent years, after the infamous 2014 “elevatorgate” tape with Beyoncé and her sister, Solange, he said they came about organically: “It happened—we were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together. And then the music she was making at that time was further along. So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became. There was never a point where it was like, ‘I’m making this album.’ I was right there the entire time.” (He did not elaborate on the identity of “Becky,” the woman alluded to by Beyoncé on Lemonade’s “Sorry.”) – Source
