This A-/B+ list alliterate director is trying to make himself look good because he knows there is some baggage out there that could come crashing down on him.
Lets not forget that he left his wife and kids after a casting couch hookup.
‘Grindhouse’ co-director Robert Rodriguez claims he cast Rose McGowan to spite Harvey Weinstein
The co-director of the film “Grindhouse” claims Rose McGowan’s role in The Weinstein Company-backed film was planned to make Harvey Weinstein pay for his alleged sexual misconduct toward the actress.
Robert Rodriguez — who co-directed the 2007 film with Quentin Tarantino — said McGowan admitted to him in 2005 what Weinstein had done to her in a hotel room at Sundance Film Festival in 1997 and that Rodriguez offered to write a role for her in his upcoming film, which was likely to be funded by The Weinstein Company.
He also explained he had not come forward previously because of the non-disclosure agreement McGowan had signed with Weinstein.
“Because of the NDA Rose told me she had signed, at Rose’s request I had to keep it quiet from everyone until now as to why we were even making that film together, especially Harvey,” he explained. – Source
