Mariah Carey Shut Down In $5 Million Battle With Ex-Assistant Over Alleged Extortion Plot

Mariah Carey has been shut down by a judge in her attempt to block her ex-assistant from seeing her private medical records.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a Los Angeles judge has denied the singer’s motion seeking to quash subpoenas fired off by her former employee, Lianna Shakhnazaryan. The subpoenas were served on Carey’s doctors and demanding her medical records be turned over as part of Carey and Shakhnazaryan’s dueling lawsuits.

Carey originally sued Shakhnazaryan accusing her of attempted blackmail. She says Shakhnazaryan filmed “intimate videos” of her without permission and tried to extort her for $8 million dollars. Lianna filed her own lawsuit against Carey accusing her of wrongful termination. – Source
