He just couldn’t help himself

When a life ends tragically young, they first question many people ask is if could be related to known bad habits.

We asked a friend if they had any insight about this musician’s recent behavior.

“Look, he went back and forth a lot of times over the past couple of years.

Sober, not sober, repeat. I don’t know what he’s been drinking or smoking or shooting in the last month or so because I haven’t seen him, but anyone who says that he’s been clean for years is a liar.

(Not talking about a couple of drinks or a little pot or about doing a few bumps of coke.

He was all in with the booze and the drugs).

He told me a bunch of times that he knew with his family’s history of heart problems that he was “playing roulette” by using this shit, but he just couldn’t help himself.”
