Don’t tell the contestants. They still think that the show is about them.

This reality competition show has completely shifted its focus.

People think that the show is about making the contestants famous. Wrong!

[The show] has never created a star from the contestant pool, so [the producers] stopped focusing on the contestants.

Now we just focus on making the judges more famous.

We pump out new stories every week about drama among past/current/future judges (Who hates who, who’s jealous of who, who’s flirting with who, who’s dating who).

It’s all phony, but that’s what gets the attention and the ratings and the magazine covers.

P.S. Don’t tell the contestants.

They still think that the show is about them.
